Kolhapuri Chicken Sukka Recipe


Ingredients Required: 500g Chicken, ½ Tsp Cumin, 2 Tbsp Oil (40ml), 1 Chopped Tomato, 2 Onions (1 Chopped And 1 Sliced For Paste), ½ Bowl Sliced Dry Coconut (Approx. 30g), 1 Tsp. Poppy Seeds, 8-10 Garlic Cloves,1/2 Inch Ginger, Entire Packet Of prakash Kolhapuri Chicken Sukla Masala, ½ Cup (100ml ) Water, Salt To taste.

Preparation Method For Paste: Roast Shredded Dry Coconut, 1 Sliced Onion, Poppy Seeds Separately Till They Turn Golden Brown And Grind it With Ginger-garlic Into A Fine Paste.

Preparation Method For Chicken Sukka:
1) Add 1 Tsp. Oil, 1/2 Tsp. Cumin, 500g Chicken, 1/2 Cup (100ml) Water And Salt in A Pressure Cooker. Cook For 4-5 Whistles (Approx. 10-12 Min)
2) Heat Oil In A Wok (Kadhai) And Saute 1 Chopped Onion, 1 Chopped Tomato. Add the Above Paste And Cook Till The Oil Separates.
3) Add The Entire Packet Of Prakash Kolhapuri Chicken Sukka Masala And Cook For 1 Min. Then Add The Cooked Chicken And Cook For 5-10 Min.

Tip: To Enhance The Flavor, Give Tadka Using Clove, Bay Leaf & Cinnamon.
